Read a post on Face Book from Dennis's chaperone's. A bit unclear on what happened but seems like an arm was broken. Hope he passes the xray at the airport.
Wow the conversation got really intense. Dennis and Niall got into a political debate. Dennis is trying to compare our president to his on his planet. But there is no way they run their countries the same!
Dennis unfortunately received a minor head injury from our cat George. We decided Dennis could use a vacation so he's heading to Ireland for the holidays with my sister and bro-in-law. Will post photos they forward!
Dennis told me that photography is easy. So we got him a camera (thanks to Jimmy Z!) to see what he comes up with. I'm sure there will be some award winners!
Fortunately, Dennis cannot get the h1n1 virus but, he did come down with an illness common to aliens, the "Andromeda Strain". We expect a full recovery.
I bought a few "friends" for Dennis. They will be assisting me in my photography practice. So far Dennis is not to happy but I hope he will come around and enjoy their company.
I was worried Dennis would get sunburn while we were sitting outside on the winery sun deck, but Dennis assured me he applied SPF 30 before we left the house.
Dennis likes the smell of fresh garlic. Especially the garlic we get from a local organic farm. MMMM smelly goodness but inhaling to much of the aroma caused a headache for our little wooden extraterrestrial.
Dennis was brutally attacked yesterday late afternoon during a photo shoot. He suffered bite marks to his right hand (captured in photo) and was pinned down to the floor for over a minute. Yet.. he was still able to break out a big smile.
Dennis feels it's important to spread good cheer and well being to others. Today he requested to tag along with me on my visit to our friend Bret who's recovering from surgery.
I leave him alone for a minute and George tries to eat his hand! Luckily, I was just in the other room when I heard the scream. (notice the panic on Dennis's face)
A friend asked me if Dennis wore clothes and suggested a nice turquoise pashmina. I think that color would be very flattering against his wood toned skin but, he's no clothes horse and I don't think he'd invest in such a luxury.
Dennis's story is very simple. He was accidentally abandoned by his fellow space mates when they visited our planet many years ago. He took up residence with a couple in Santa Cruz who discovered him at a local art shop pretending to be an artist mannequin on shelf high above the doorway. Dennis spends most of his time hanging out with books and other useless items on a shelf in the office of their home. Occasionally, he's travels with the couple, posing for photos to entertain them as well as himself.
